This has been a very good year for St John of Jerusalem School, mainly because the school has been fully staffed, for the first time in many years. This, in turn, has brought about a really consistent improvement in behaviour (both in the classroom and the playground), and a corresponding improvement in attitudes to work, which has contributed to raising achievement. We have also continued to build on our musical and sporting triumphs (thanks to Lil and Paul), and over the last three years our test results have shown a steady rise (even though there was a dip last year). This year's and next year's results will show another rise, which is very encouraging. The Parents, Friends and Teachers Association, set up in January 2000, has gone from strength to strength, and nearly all our classes are full, with very few children moving away before the end of Year 6. Thank you to all staff, governors, children and parents for all their excellent work and support, which is very much appreciated by the Head Teacher, who (most of the time!) enjoys her job tremendously.
